We believe that we all flourish best in an environment of support and respect where we can make healthy choices and are responsible for the consequences of those choices. BHH works with clients where they are in the process of change and empowers them with knowledge and skills to make the changes necessary to live as a whole, healthy person.

With our skilled counseling staff, we provide a safe and supportive environment to explore underlying issues, destructive thinking and behaviors, build life skills, and recognize relapse signs that compromise sobriety and overall well-being.

Monday Through Friday from 9am-2pm

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) offer the highest level of substance abuse care aside from inpatient/residential treatment.  PHP patients transition in a safe and natural progression through the recovery process. Patients “step down” from the highest level of care (residential treatment) to the next highest level of treatment , PHP. In cases where a patient doesn’t need residential care and or doesn’t have the flexibility or financial resources to complete a residential program, PHP bridges this gap and provides a structured, safe, and flexible means of treatment.

In our PHP, patients are provided with intensive case management, individual and group therapy, psychiatry, and medically assisted treatments, if indicated. Partial Hospitalization Programs are also known as a “day treatment” programs and are designed to offer support, education, accountability, and therapeutic counseling to those who are struggling with substance dependence and related disorders. PHP focuses on identifying and addressing underlying issues and contributing factors. Our program focuses on healing holistically and therapeutically and on setting a solid and lasting foundation for meaningful, long-term sobriety.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP) assists patients who need treatment that is more intensive than Intensive Outpatient treatment (IOP). It is less restrictive than residential treatment and allow patients to attend treatment during the day and return to their home in the evening.

Our PHP program consists of daily therapeutic group sessions, available at least 5 days per week and potentially more, depending on the specific needs of a given client. Our PHP services are intended to provide continuous diagnostic evaluation to actively treat the conditions from which the afflicted individual is suffering and to prevent relapse, hospitalization, and/or incarceration.

Our PHP program is designed to be structured yet comfortable and is provided in a safe and confidential setting.  Activities in our program include medical assessments and continued medical monitoring.  Individuals receive group and individual counseling, as well as case management, on a regular basis. We believe in providing treatment in a holistic manner, treating the mind and the body with equal importance.  In our program, you will have the ability to learn meditation and body movement exercises and techniques that aid in reducing stress.

Our program is covered by most Hawaii insurance policies, and we accept out-of-network insurance and private pay clients as well.

We encourage you to call us today to schedule an assessment and or consultation to discuss your treatment needs.

Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30pm

BHH’s Intensive Outpatient Program is less intensive than our Partial Hospitalization Program and consists of 3-hour sessions 3-5 times a week for those who can maintain abstinence without more structure.  We cater to those individuals who seek change, which enables us to offer a nurturing, empowering, and healing environment. The program consists of psycho-education and process groups, as well as individual counseling. The focus of the program is to stabilize, educate on addiction as a disease, develop a sober support network, address emotional and behavioral issues, and develop skills to maintain a successful life drug and alcohol free.

The major focus of continuing care should be the identification and resolution of any lingering issues concerning lifestyle, relationship, living arrangements, social and personal development that still exists. Participation in BHH’s group-style continuing care program allows individuals to share stories and experiences concerning the recovery process, and the day to day battles they face. Also, attending group provides the newly sober person with the positive reinforcement and accountability they will need to stay focused on their sobriety. The benefits received from continuing care groups have been proven to be a major factor in the successful recovery of many individuals.

The key to successful long-term recovery is a strong transitional plan from inpatient treatment into a new sober lifestyle. BHH’s Relapse Prevention Program is  structured to assist in reintegration to protect the investment of time and money spent on inpatient treatment. Our Relapse Prevention consists of twice weekly psycho-education and progress groups along with bi-weekly individual counseling sessions. We focus on developing life skills, building a sober support network and addressing life and relationship issues.
