We hope you all have a great, healthy, sober Holiday season. This time of year can be a difficult time for eating well. Emotional triggers can come from family memories along with holiday pressures and there is a lot of Sugar around to dose it down……only leaving you feeling worse.
We recommend doing a Pro Recovery Diet to keep yourself in Balance throughout the season. This consist of eating every 4 hours. You need to have Protein along with Good fats and Complex carbohydrates (mostly Veggies).
Other helpful hints:
- Eat as cleanly as possible
- Don’t eat a lot of Sugar
- Missing a meal can be a primary relapse trigger for all addictions
- Drink lots of Water
- Exercise every day for 20 minutes: take a good brisk walk
- Rest well
